• Jackie Bozarth is the organist at Mt. Holly UMC. Jackie began piano lessons at age 6 and organ lessons at age 16. She graduated from Westminster Choir College with a degree in Music Education, major emphasis in Organ and minor emphasis in Voice; taught General and Vocal Music for 34 years and has held the positions of organist and choir director at various churches for 42 years.

    I am an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church, currently serving First United Methodist Church of Mount Holly, Smithville United Methodist Church, and Lumberton United Methodist Church, as well as Masonville United Methodist Church. With more than a decade of pastoral leadership across New Jersey and Pennsylvania, I bring experience in congregational ministry, community engagement, and adaptive leadership in both parish and institutional settings.

    I am passionate about preaching, teaching, and fostering meaningful discipleship. My ministry emphasizes building connections—within the church and beyond it—through worship, small groups, and creative outreach that engages faith in real-world contexts, including community care, reconciliation, and justice.

    Throughout my ministry, I have served in leadership roles within the Greater New Jersey Conference, including the Commission on Archives and History and the Skylands District Superintendency Committee. I have also been active in community leadership, including serving as President of the Newton Rotary Club.

    I am the founder of Life-Giving Water Ministries and author of Life-Giving Water Devotions. I am also a writer, musician, and artist whose creative work reflects my passion for engaging faith beyond traditional boundaries.

    I believe the Church is called to be a community where all people are welcomed, valued, and invited to grow—regardless of faith tradition, gender identity, sexuality, race, ethnicity, ability, social or economic status, or political perspective. My ministry is grounded in a faith that takes Jesus seriously: gathering people across differences, asking honest questions, engaging the realities of the world, and standing alongside those who have been wounded, excluded, oppressed, or pushed aside. I am committed to helping build a Church where belonging does not require anyone to pretend to be someone else and where God’s love is not merely proclaimed, but embodied.

    Originally from Sussex County, New Jersey, I now live in Mount Holly with my wife, Bernadette, our daughters, Katie and Lorien, and our pets.
